Ωμή, νοσταλγική βραδιά opera
221 Av. Jean Jaurès au 6e étage, 75019 Paris, France
Between Emmanuelle Haïm and Handel, there has been a partnership spanning decades. The conductor leads her ensemble, Le Concert d’Astrée, in a fresh interpretation of the Messiah. Haïm, a prominent figure in Baroque music, first encountered the score of Messiah as a harpsichordist and has since directed the masterpiece across Europe and the United States. Her current projects include the Handel Project Festival (2025–2027) with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Her conducting style, characterized by both rigor and passion, highlights the dramatic power of Handel’s 1741 chef-d’œuvre.
