Legendary singer and actress Freda Payne returns to Hollywood with a theatrical production paying tribute to the most iconic voices in jazz. The show features loving homages to Sarah Vaughan, Nancy Wilson, Dinah Washington, Peggy Lee, Dakota Staton, Gloria Lynne, Lena Horne, and Ella Fitzgerald. Conceived and directed by playwright Don B. Welch, this performance blends music, dance, and storytelling as Payne shares personal anecdotes from her six-decade career. Recognized for her soul hits like "Band of Gold," Payne showcases her deep jazz roots, scatting and bebop skills fostered by mentors like Berry Gordy and Quincy Jones.
