Formed in Tewkesbury, the band developed their sound by blending influences from artists like Sublime, Stiff Little Fingers, The Clash, and The Wildhearts. They are known for their high-energy performances and the distinct brackets in their name, which lead singer Alex Copeland jokingly claims are there to keep the letters from falling out.
