Peter Churchill

Pete Churchill has been a prominent composer, pianist, singer, and educator for nearly three decades. He currently serves as Professor of Jazz Composition at the Royal Academy of Music and leads the Jazz Voice department at the Brussels Royal Conservatoire. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with legendary jazz figures such as Mark Murphy, Sheila Jordan, Kenny Wheeler, and Abdullah Ibrahim. As the founder and director of 'The London Vocal Project' (LVP), he has worked alongside Sir John Dankworth and Bobby McFerrin, and toured to New York to premiere Jon Hendricks' “Miles Ahead”. This performance features a curated selection of songs from the Great American Songbook, interspersed with Pete's insightful storytelling and deep jazz expertise.
