The Matriarchy Ball is calling Mothers in all forms - mothers of life, mothers of the scene. The maternal figure is the symbol of care, strength, and creation. Beyond blood, beyond form - motherhood becomes a role, a legacy, a house. A space where identity is held, shaped, and reborn. On June 21st we honor the womb as symbol - not only of life, but of community. Ballroom culture was born in Harlem, New York in the late ’60s, by and for Black and Latina trans women, creating a space of freedom, expression, and collective survival. Ballroom is a safe space for people with marginalized identities. Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, queerphobic, ableist, fatphobic behaviours or any other form of discrimination will not be tolerated!
