Décalé debuts at Cafe OTO with a curated evening of sonic and visual exploration, featuring four interdisciplinary artists. Simeon Barclay presents 'An Ode To a Crow', a performance-based excursion through memory and transformation via spoken word and soundscapes. Juline Hadaya’s 'Double Life' utilizes field recordings and archival media to explore the suspended self across temporalities. Hannah Catherine Jones performs an improvised set on theremin and synthesisers, channelling grief into transcendent soundscapes. Laila Sakini closes with a textured set incorporating piano, found sounds, and electronics. The event is programmed by Leila Arenou, Kadeem Oak, and Chooc Ly Tan.
