Sarah Hanahan is a dynamic alto saxophonist and a compelling new voice in jazz. A graduate of the Jackie McLean Institute and Juilliard, she fuses swing and bebop with a modern intensity. Following her international debut, she has performed with greats like Nicholas Payton and Jeff "Tain" Watts, appearing regularly at top New York clubs like Smalls and Dizzy's. Her 2024 debut album 'Among Giants' received critical acclaim, and in 2025 she was named DownBeat's #1 Rising Star Alto Saxophonist. When leading her own quartet, she plays with a deep commitment to the evolving art of jazz.
