Phono Lake Festival

Three stages, one island - Phono Lake and Breakfast Club are thrilled to present the second edition of Phono Lake Festival. Firmly rooted in our tiny forest island by the Sloterplas, Phono Lake Festival marks the first collaboration between two kindred fixtures of Amsterdam nightlife. Our first joint program pays homage to house music and all its offshoots, tracing its lineage all the way to Chicago and back. We’re telling the story with the originators who brought us where we are and the artists paving the way into the future - from the rough, gritty edges to the dulcet textures that make you feel right at home in late summer. On September 12th, our island welcomes originators we haven’t seen around these parts in quite some time, like Chi-town’s Mike Dunn, Brooklyn’s Jovonn and Detroit heavyweight Blake Baxter. Pender Street Steppers bring their unhurried vibes from the Canadian Riviera with an additional DJ set from Jack J. NTS mainstay Millie Mckee and Edinburgh institution Athens Of The North deliver soul and warmth, while Dublin’s Wah Wah Wino crew joins the dance for a showcase led by Officer John. Louise Chen exhibits the breadth that made her one of the most quietly distinctive selectors around, while trusted local heroes Marie K and Jetti complete the picture. Join us for a great time out!
