Experience a showcase of Los Angeles' jazz scene every Sunday at The Mint. The evening features a performance by the Kevin van den Elzen Quintet, performing the music of legendary drummer Shelly Manne. Following the main set, the night continues with a long-standing jazz residency and jam session hosted by Kevin Kanner. Kevin van den Elzen is a Dutch-born drummer and educator who moved to Los Angeles to study under Peter Erskine. He has collaborated with numerous jazz luminaries including John Clayton and Bob Mintzer, and leads various ensembles ranging from trios to big bands. The late-night jam session offers free entry to musicians with an instrument after 9pm.
