Chloe Matharu & Theo Dussek
Αργή, underground βραδιά traditional music
Chloe Matharu is a Scottish Indian singer-songwriter, harpist, and harmonium player based in the Outer Hebrides. Drawing on her history as a Navigational Officer in the Merchant Navy, she brings maritime traditions to life through music and storytelling. Her performances weave together English, Scots, and Gaelic, exploring both modern and historic sea-themed narratives. Solo, she accompanies herself on Celtic harp or harmonium, though she also performs in various ensemble configurations from trios to larger bands. Chloe has been featured on BBC radio and television and is a multi-award-winning artist, notably winning Celtic Music Radio’s Album of the Year twice. Supporting Chloe is Theo Dussek, an acoustic folk singer-songwriter known as the 'Pirate Troubadour.' His music is deeply influenced by the sea and rivers, focusing on poetry and storytelling through fingerstyle guitar and tender melodies. His latest work, 'Written in the River,' contributes to the queer folk canon and explores themes of healing and identity.
