Destroyer

Dan Bejar, a former member of the Canadian supergroup The New Pornographers, launched Destroyer as a solo home-recording project during the 1990s. Over the years, the project has explored a vast range of musical styles, including glam, yacht rock, MIDI, and Spanish independent music. His extensive discography is defined by a refusal to follow traditional conventions, frequently opting for ambitious musical shifts and artistic statements that balance deep cynicism with an underlying sense of optimism.
