Samen met een collectief bevriende muzikanten koos hij er bewust voor om in Glasgow te blijven en daar een bloeiende muziekscene op te bouwen. De spil van de band is Shortall zelf, die hypnotiserende keyboardlagen creëert en live moeiteloos wisselt tussen gitaar, bas en trombone. Het debuutalbum Bad With Names (2023) klinkt toegankelijk, maar zit vol subtiele tempowisselingen en inventieve grooves.
