Acclaimed pianist Brad Mehldau presents a special tribute to the late indie folk legend Elliott Smith, whose songwriting has profoundly influenced a generation. For this performance, Mehldau is joined by a stellar band including Chris Thile on mandolin and vocals, guitarist Blake Mills, drummer Matt Chamberlain, and bassist John Davis. The ensemble is further enhanced by the 17-piece USC Thornton Chamber Virtuosi, performing Mehldau's own cinematic orchestral arrangements.
