Tongue & Chance Guild

Tongue and Chance Guild is a new fellowship of improvisers devoted to text, storytelling, song, and poetry. Conceived by Anne La Berge and River Adomeit, the project functions like a guild hall for wandering makers, bringing together artists from various traditions to exchange skills and create in the moment. Each gathering is a meeting of voices and practices through free improvisation. This inaugural assembly features performers from diverse scenes, including violist Oene van Geel, who bridges jazz and Carnatic traditions, and Diamanda La Berge Dramm, who contributes songs and virtuoso violin. They are joined by additional guest performers for an evening of shared inventions and collective making, weaving a unique living tapestry before the audience.
