Ο Μπάρι η μέλισσα, μόλις αποφοίτησε από το κολέγιο και ετοιμάζεται να ακολουθήσει το κλασικό επάγγελμα κάθε μέλισσας: την παραγωγή μελιού. Ανήσυχο όμως πνεύμα, κατορθώνει να βγει έξω από την κυψέλη, στον κόσμο των ανθρώπων, όπου γνωρίζεται με μια ανθοπώλη, τη Βανέσα που του σώζει τη ζωή. Όταν ο Μπάρι, κάνοντας παρέα με τη Βανέσα, συνειδητοποιεί ότι οι άνθρωποι κλέβουν το μέλι από τις μέλισσες που με τόσο κόπο το παρασκευάζουν, αποφασίζει να τους μηνύσει. Μέλισσες εναντίον ανθρώπων στα δικαστήρια!
