Some franchises limp along. Evil Dead keeps showing up covered in blood with fresh ideas. Groovy
Evil dead might be one of, if not the most consistent horror franchise I’ve ever seen. There has been five evil dead movies along with this sixth one and I wouldn’t call a single one outright bad. Some are worse than others but each of them work on their own terms. That alone says how steady the franchise has been in maintaining its own identity and impact.
