A fun, prototype screwball comedy. Clara Bow is a delight as always, and there's lots of fun bits of slapstick in places where you might not expect it. Worth a watch!
Ultra-rare Clara Bow, only 3rd screening in 90+ years (!!?!), blessings to David Stenn for perseverance to get this out of rights hell. Talkie remake of MISS BLUEBEARD, with Clara “accidentally” marrying Ralph Forbes, she’s repulsed but, well, you know how this will go. We get less peppy joyous Clara and more “how could you” pouty Clara with this setup. Charlie Ruggles comic relief the best thing about this, his dry antics perking up audience. Highly funny finale.
An American movie star vacationing in France finds herself accidentally married to a songwriter she has not yet met amid a series of comedic misunderstandings.
Frank Tuttle directed the 1930 pre-Code comedy starring Clara Bow.
This rare early talkie comedy did not receive major contemporary competitive awards.
