Absolute props to J. Snow for giving his time and energy to not only make this documentary, but to also show up in person here for the screening. It speaks to not making this for financial success, but rather, to give as much attention as possible to Sickle Cell Disease. And Snow provided. Given his nature as a YouTuber/Vlogger/Writer/Comedian/Filmmaker, he has given us an insight into his life, and what it means to live with this disease. I can’t imagine what it was like to compile the footage together, because an extraordinary amount of sources and times from all around the place is gathered, and as a result, it’s really effective at illustrating how you live with this disease, what challenges come from it, how the health system in America tries and also fails to help, but ultimately how in persisting one is able to get a further appreciation of life.If there is a complaint, sometimes I do feel that the transitions and pacing to bridge one moment to the next need further work, in order to keep a more consistent and flowing mood to it all. But even still, what we have is an insightful and pretty honest look at Snow’s life, how there’s downs, but still a lot of ups.

Truly transformative media. I sat down and watched this documentary only to get out of my seat a new man. I laughed, cried, and though deeply all in one sit down. Highly recommended
