Lorelei Grace Linklater (born May 29, 1994, in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico) is an American actress, best known for her role in the film Boyhood (2014), which was shot over a period of twelve years. She is the daughter of director Richard Linklater. Linklater made her debut in Waking Life (2001), an animated film by her father. Her breakthrough came with Boyhood (2014), in which she played the role of Samantha over a period of twelve years. The film won numerous awards, including the Silver Bear for Best Director at the Berlinale. Her other films include Bomb City (2017); Anywhere With You (2018); After the Night with Valerie (2019); Teenage Vampire 2 (2022); Mission from Outer Space 2037 (2023); American Trash (2024). She has appeared in several films directed by her father. Although she was born in Mexico, she is a US citizen and grew up in Texas.
