His most famous role as an actor was as producer Max Fabian who feuds with star Margo Channing (Bette Davis) in All About Eve (1950). Gregory Ratoff was a Russian-born director, producer, and character actor who maintained a prolific career in the American film industry from the early 1930s through 1960.
He is primarily recognized for his performance as the producer Max Fabian in the 1950 film All About Eve and for his directing work on films such as Intermezzo.
