(Un)fairy

n 2024, Anne-Maartje Lemereis was named Composer Laureate of the Netherlands. In this programme, she will present songs based on well-known fairy tales, such as Snow White, Red Riding Hood, and Sleeping Beauty. She has also selected music that inspires her: works by Purcell, Schumann and others. Michael Gieler, artistic director of IJ-Salon: ‘Anne-Maartje is a highly original and versatile musician. I appreciate the humour that always sparkles in her music. Plenty of reason to invite her to the IJ-Salon. My understanding is that our colleagues will also have to sing.
