Alexandra Kaptein

The programme Franz Liszt: Harmony of Light covers the emotional, psychological and spiritual highlights from Liszt’s piano oeuvre. Liszt is an important source of inspiration for Kaptein. Her debut CD Lebenswanderung with Liszt transcriptions was released in 2024 by the label TRPTK, and she is the vice-chair of the Franz Liszt Society in the Netherlands. Kaptein: ‘After pain and sorrow, faith always triumphs in Liszt’s work. The music carries and guides us from darkness to light, from grief to exaltation.’ Dutch Classical Talent Dutch Classical Talent is a promotional programme for talented young Dutch musicians. Laureates include Tania Kross, Lavinia Meijer, Nora Fischer, the Van Baerle Trio and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet, to name but a few noteworthy names. Talent in itself is not enough to make it to the finals of Dutch Classical Talent. Participants are expected to present unique and stimulating programmes, a clear vision and a touch of boldness.
