somebody get these PREDATORS out of here
What would have happened if I wasn't here?Kind of unbelievable. Puts Hansen's most demonic tendencies on full display with such a maximalist visual style i didn't think most directors today were confident enough to even attempt. Pattinson is every bit as multi-layered and slimy as you'd hope, Skyler Gisondo and Merritt Wever leave phenomenal impressions of their own. Creed Bratton is bone chilling in just 90 seconds!Bonus points for using Rent - a musical about a self-centered filmmaker who exploits the lives of others for his art - as a major motif!
the way the color grading, the grainy-ness, and the focus of the film get more and more corrupted as the movie moves along is what the fuck cinema is all about. real movie.
