Stamatis Fasoulis (Ambelakia Salaminas, 1947) is a Greek director, actor and the actor. He was born in 1947 in Ampelakia, Salamina, and grew up in Kypseli. He studied at the Drama School of the National Theatre. He was one of the key members of the Free Theater and later of the Free Stage. He has directed many plays, among them: The Third Wreath, Tonight we dine at Jocasti, Niki, Plutos, Death of the Merchant, Vira the Anchors and Alexis Zorbas. He also has many appearances as an actor in theatre, television and film. In 2001, the awarding of the Horn Prize began on his own initiative
Stamatis Fasoulis is een prominent Grieks acteur en toneelregisseur, geboren in Salamina en opgeleid aan de dramaschool van het Nationale Theater van Griekenland.
Hij staat bekend om zijn uitgebreide regie- en acteerwerk in het Griekse theater, televisie en films zoals Love Wanders in the Night en Theophilos.
Hij is nauw verbonden met het Nationale Theater van Griekenland en historische theatergezelschappen zoals het Vrije Theater.
