Formed in the somber autumn of 2022 after a meeting in Eindhoven, the band draws influence from acts such as Dystopia , Conan , Noothgrush and DOWN . After releasing two independent singles in early 2023, Dodentocht unveiled their self-titled debut EP, followed by their first European tour, bringing their crushing sound to stages across the continent. Known for an intense and grim live presence, the band focuses on raw energy, oppressive atmosphere and uncompromising delivery. Lyrically, Dodentocht delves into themes of nihilism, misanthropy and self-loathing, translating their personal interpretation of sludge and deathdoom into a visceral experience. The band is currently working on their second EP while continuing to sharpen their reputation as a relentless live act.
