Lijkschouwer
Blackened Death-Sludge from Rotterdam (NL) The world has not become a better place since 'Lamentations of Cosmic Absurdity' was released in 2022. However, instead of losing the last grain of hope that Lijkschouwer's first release embodied, we chose to embrace the power that lies in human connection, spirit, and empathy. In the face of a seemingly insuperable stream of calamities and injustices, willfully imposed upon the world by ruthless tyrants, we decidedly turned away from despair towards personal growth and fulfilment. We found power and hope in each other, in the connections we form with others, in uniting under a just cause and in the simple beauties in nature. The essence, and process of this growth forms the basis of our second full-length album “All What Did the Blade Reveal”. It is a record about personal strife and perseverance in the face of overwhelming evil. It’s a declaration of war and a love letter concurrently, and we are proud to present what we feel is our most ambitious music to date. Lijkschouwer's second full-length album was recorded in June 2025 at Tonmeisterei studio in Oldenburg, Germany. Drums/Vocals: G. T. (ACHE / Acid Reflux). Guitar: M. C. (Throatstabber). Guitar/Vocals: R. B. Bass: R.D.B (Shunyata)
