August Gladstone
An underground indie folk artist.
August Gladstone is a Folksinger, Poet and Troubadour who plays across California and New York. Influenced by the folk revival of the 60’s and 70’s, his songs are musical poetry that entwine surrealism, intimacy, humor and political activism. As a lyricist, he’s written for members of Supertramp, Crowded House and Ringo’s All-Starr Band. August was a 2025 Woodstock-Byrdcliffe Guild Artist in Residence whose debut EP, COMMODORE, released in July 2025. His debut full-length studio album, THE GOLDEN WEST, released on 5.16.26 with an official companion book of poetry and lyrics forthcoming from Finishing Line Press .
