Irdorath
An underground, nostalgic medieval metal artist.
Irdorath – pagan fantasy folk band. From the streets to Wacken Open Air. From a cage in hell to a world of freedom! Irdorath is a project from Belarus, which creates its own musical world: noble and wild, dark and exciting, filled with Slavic legends, echoes of the Middle Ages and folk music of different nations. Before 2020 Irdorath was actively touring through Europe, conquering new territories with their show. But ... In August 2021, the band leaders, together with former members of the band, were arrested for playing bagpipes in demonstrations against the violence of the dictatorship in Belarus and were sentenced to 2 years in prison. In April 2023 they were released and fled the country. Despite this terrible history, they decided to continue the project. Half a year after their release they have rebuilt the project in a new country with new musicians and are already working on a new releases. And of course they are ready to return to the stage reborn and hardened. Irdorath became the first Belarusians who performed at the "Wacken Open Air". They also performed at such diverse festivals like "Wave Gotik Treffen", "Wild Mint", Mittelalterlich Phantasie Spectaculum, Folkest and Castle Kolpa. The band also participated in a big number of not so large-scale events throughout Europe. Irdorath is gaining strength, focuses on central Europe, planning a big musical project and continues on their way: On the wings of the Dragon, forward to the Stars!
