Alex Sid

Alex Sid started his career as a sound designer/re-recording mixer in Soho London, although he has been writing music from a young age. While still working in post-production he began writing for independent films and theatre thus realising his dream of becoming a composer. By 2018 he wrote his first original film score for Max Von Sydow’s last film ‘Echoes of the Past’. In 2019 and for three consecutive seasons he composed the music for Greece’s biggest Prime time TV success of the last decade -Agries Melisses (Wild Bees) where he wrote the score as well as over 30 tailor-made songs for scripted scenes. In 2023 he collaborated with songwriter/producer Quasamodo writing the 60s-70s soundtrack for the successful TV series ‘The Beach’ (I Paralia).‘ Blazing’ the series title song became a Greek radio sensation. In 2024 he co-wrote Eric Burdon’s latest song ‘Don’t ever Leave’ for the same series. Parallel to this Alex Sid was the sole composer of the period Drama “The Witch” (‘I Magissa’) that was the year’s prime time TV success. Skilled to write in a wide range of genres he has gained a loyal following in Greece.
