
Fanis Barbounis
Fanis Barbounis is a Greek singer-songwriter from Nea Peramos, West Attica, with roots in Crete and Asia Minor. He studied Mathematics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens while also training in Byzantine music and vocal techniques. Deeply connected to Greek traditional music, especially Cretan folk, he has performed at cultural events in Greece and abroad. In 2016, he released his debut single "Osses Zoés Ki An Zísoume", followed by his first full album, "Chrysafi", in 2019 with Walnut Entertainment Greece. In 2020, he presented "Thalassa", a song by the late Christos Kyriazis, and in 2021, he reinterpreted the classic "Mpikan Stin Poli Oi Ochtroi", approved by Giannis Markopoulos. His 2023 release, "Tis Psychís Ta Desmá", gained airplay on over 50 Greek radio stations. Recently, he collaborated with Spyros Petroulakis on "Na Vroume Fotia", released by Spicy Records. In 2025, he presented a new song “ Kenourgioi Ksana “ with lyrics by Nikos Moraitis and music by himself, released by Heaven Music. With a unique blend of folk, contemporary, and traditional sounds, he continues to impress audiences, securing his place in the Greek music scene.
