If the best dancers in America formed a boyband… if five kids from across the map found each other and became brothers—you’d get JYT (short for Just Your Type)—Caden (17), Tyler (16), Bryan (17), Recker (15), and Toby (16)—five best friends who dance like they were born doing it and sing like they’re trying to break the internet. Unlike most boybands, there was no traditional casting. They chose each other. JYT are the kind of group where everyone has a “most likely to”: Caden—most likely to get the group grounded. Tyler—most likely to stop the group from doing something dumb. Recker—most likely to make you cry from laughing. Bryan—most likely to serenade you on the first date. Toby—most likely to steal your girl. Their sound lives in that sweet spot where nostalgia and newness collide—future-leaning pop that nods to the 2000s without ever losing its modern edge—and they’re poised to become the first major American boyband in decades. For the past 6 months, the group has trained in an intensive L.A. bootcamp led by Nick DeMoura (Justin Bieber)—six hours of dancing per day, recording, and nonstop rehearsal aimed at shaping them into the next global pop phenomenon. At the core are the group’s vocal arrangements—five distinct tones, trading lines, bending around each other, and then locking into harmonies that hit like a wave.
