Aki Rei

Aki Rei is a multi-instrumentalist artist and producer whose sound blends Art Pop, Alternative Electronica, and Cinematic Indie Rock into a deeply atmospheric and emotionally charged experience. His music is a fusion of Dream Pop textures, ambient soundscapes, and progressive arrangements, enriched by analog synths, intricate guitars, and jazz inspired harmonies. His compositions feel like scenes from an unseen film—romantic, existential, and deeply evocative. Aki Rei produced Pavlos Pavlidis's latest album (Μπρανκαλεόνε) [2024, Fine Records], marking a key collaboration in the Greek indie scene. The album’s innovative production blends experimental elements with emotive soundscapes, showcasing both artists’ unique styles and vision. Aki Rei has collaborated with artists such as Billie Kark, Daphne and the Fuzz , Jef Maarawi and was a permanent member of the Shoegaze/Dream Pop band Youth Valley from 2022 to 2025. He has performed as an opening act for Still Corners [2022] and Miles Kane (The Last Shadow Puppets) [2024] with his solo project. As the lead guitarist of Youth Valley, he has shared the stage with Bauhaus, dEUS and The Jesus and Mary Chain, performing on the same lineup at Release Festival 2022. The band has also been on the same line up with Sisters of Mercy and Lebanon Hanover performing on the Death Disco Athens Open Air Festival 2023. As a drummer/synth player for Daphne and the Fuzz, has shared the stage with London Grammar, LP, Hooverphonic [2022]
