Los Caminantes
A nostalgic grupera artist.
Latin group Los Caminantes originally comprised Guanajuato, Mexico-born siblings Agustín, Horacio, Brígido, and Martín Ramírez along with Humberto Navarro. Releasing their debut album, Supe Perder, in 1983, the band proceeded to rack up a series of hits including "Cuando Dos Almas," "He Sabido," "Porque Tengo Tu Amor," and "Ven y Abrázame" throughout the mid-'80s. Keyboardist Mario Sotelo replaced Brígido Ramírez in time for 1986's De Guanajuato...Para America, which generated the hit "Amor Sin Palabras." Tragedy struck Los Caminantes soon after, when Martín Ramírez was killed in an accident; the surviving members released a tribute album, Gracias Martín, in 1987. Despite a subsequent series of lineup changes, the group continued recording and touring throughout the decades to follow. Agustín Ramírez died on October 26, 2022, at the age of 70. ~ Jason Ankeny, Rovi
