Growing up in Plano, Texas he didn’t have the easiest upbringing. He learned how to fish from a young age so his family wouldn’t become hungry, becoming sharply independent early on and fending for himself. The singer-songwriter was always surrounded by country music and would spend much of his youth sitting on the railroad tracks outside Love and War restaurant in Texas watching songwriters perform. After seeing a great country band play he decided that it was his calling and has been penning powerful moving songs that evoke strong emotions ever since.
