Her experiences, her sorrows and her enthusiasm are captured in her lyrics, brimming with a fever to live, focused but also fragile. Behind a sweet and vulnerable appearance, Daphne tells a story of her generation, asserting herself through her writing, leaving no space, as she believes, for doubt. Although born in Paris, it’s in Florida that she grows up, taking her first steps in music. Listening to Taylor Swift on the yellow school bus, writing poems between classes and performing in the local broadway scene blossomed into a heartfelt obsession of the english language and words, feeding into the bubbling talent of a melodist. Daphne rides the french touch with the insight of mainstream pop, her melodies remind us of her American upbringing, with an attention for detail that is pure and french.
