Drum Affair

Deep/tech-house DJ and producer Oskar van Gelderen has been moving the Rotterdam nightlife for the past years. He plays under the Drum Affair moniker since 2016. Known for his energetic yet refined tracks, Oskar crafts sounds that strike a balance between underground groove and dance floor appeal. Having moved to Rotterdam at a young age, Oskar was drawn to the city’s vibrant club scene as a teenager. Learning the basics of vinyl from a friend, he developed a passion for DJ’ing and producing, which quickly evolved into playing gigs at local clubs by the age of 21. After visiting Ibiza in 2015, Oskar was completely captivated by the energy of legendary sets from Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, and Jamie Jones. It was a defining moment — the birthplace of his musical inspiration and the foundation for the Drum Affair sound. As a resident DJ at established clubs in both Rotterdam and Amsterdam, Oskar captivates audiences with carefully curated sets that blend deep, rhythmic energy and signature underground sounds. His ability to adapt to diverse venues and events has earned him a respected place in the scene. In 2019, he made his festival debut, gaining recognition for his dynamic and engaging sets. The release of his producer debut, the ‘Collision’ EP on Tinted Grooves in 2020, marked another creative milestone.
