Ivy Robins

My name is Petros Ventouris and I am from Paros island, Greece. In 2022 I was diagnosed with a serious vestibular disorder. I had to spend a lot of months in bed and more than a year in and out of the hospital. During that time I decided not to give up but rather to create something I knew I had in me. That’s how Ivy Robins was born. My music project. A place I created within myself. Not to hide, but to exist without apology. It’s not a concept, not an image. It’s my voice when I can’t speak. My whisper when everything’s too loud. It’s the music that stayed when everything else left. And somewhere in there to relive the hardest moments I’ve been through—the ones I never shouted, but always carried. This project turned them into sound. And in doing so, set them free. On one side Ivy resembles the poisonous plant and the difficulties I faced while Robins represent hope and rebirth that while full recovery was never guaranteed I never stopped working towards it. I don’t have something big to say. Just that if somehow, somewhere, a lyric or a tune reminds you of something your own, then thank you—for listening. And most of all, for feeling.
