An underground melodic hardcore artist.
Established in Manchester, 2018. Medlock is an alt-emo 4-piece comprising of Matthew Cummings (vocals & guitar), Luke Wilson (guitar), Bryan Calcutt (drums), and Mitch Loftus (bass). Medlock released their debut self-titled EP in September of 2018 and released further singles through 2020 and 2021. ‘Medlock' is named after the River Medlock, which flows through Manchester, and the place where the band members met 'New Medlock House', a student accommodation in the heart of the city. The main musical inspiration for the band comes from a plethora of artists, ranging from pop-punk to melodic hardcore. Inspired by the likes of Turnover, Basement, Moose Blood, and Endless Heights, Hundredth and Holding Absence.
