Michelle Rose

Michelle Rose is a multi-genre singer/songwriter and actress from Minneapolis who's been a recording artist since age 11. She is currently recording an album with Dr. Fink, from Prince's band, The Revolution. She has been recognized for her high-concept music videos, which she plans and co-directs. She began training in Classical singing when she was six and later studied Opera and many other genres. In 2024, she graduated with her Master's Degree in Songwriting ( Summa Cum Laude) from Berklee College of Music . Her undergrad emphasized vocal performance, songwriting and production. In her songs, Michelle Rose highlights her four-octave range, which includes whistle tone. She caught the eye of several music blogs who have requested to interview her about her creative process for her videos. Obsessed with roses and other flowers, she features them in her videos whenever possible. Michelle Rose tries to emulate the class and elegance of a rose. However, every rose has its thorn, and Michelle Rose incorporates that edginess into some of her work - as seen in her Halloween-themed 'Midnight Moon' music video. Inspired by singers like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Sam Smith, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, Michelle Rose mixes Classical with Contemporary by adding her operatic vibrato and tone, alongside power belting, to her songs. A life-long volunteer, she has donated over 2,500 hours to charities.
