The Figs

The Figs - A university band turned local powerhouse strives to bring a fresh sound to the Aussie Indie Rock genre, blending catchy lyrics with laid-back vibes, centering their staple youthful energy within classic Pop-Rock anthems. Finn, Oliver & Harry formed The Figs at the beginning of their studies at the Australian Institute of Music as a means to express themselves creatively and gain much needed experience working with others. Quite unexpectedly however, the combination of these three creative prodigies would prove to give rise to an identity more influential and successful than anticipated. Since forming they’ve boasted repeated local success within the Aussie music scene, achieving over 4000 streams on their debut single Rocket Ship with no 3rd party assistance or marketing. This single would then go on to be featured on triple j Unearthed, along with their second single Redo which since release has been rising to become a staple in their discography. Most recently they released their debut EP Missed Calls, a collection of early adulthood experiences in love and life belonging to each of the members, compiled into a rustic and youthful project that transforms Indie Pop-Rock sounds and influences from all over Sydney and its coasts into a unique and smile-inducing product. The project is all things heartwarming, reminiscent, passionate and fun, with real stories to share. The boys can't wait for you to become obsessed, find them playing shows and rocking out.
