One Straw Revolution
An underground indie rock artist.
One Straw Revolution (OSR) brings indie rock with a vintage vibe. Polyphonic vocal harmonies inspired by The Beatles meet country-guitar parts and tight drum grooves. Their satirical lyrics speak of the bandmembers personal experiences. In May 2025, OSR turned their demos into a first album “Little Broom”, followed by the single “Mr. Candy” in July 2025. The story started in 2022 in Groningen, where Boris Berg and Novak Ciric met one another through their love for The Beatles and permaculture. When they finished their respective studies they started writing songs about transitioning to adulthood, the search for direction in a complex world and handling societal expectations, which resulted in their first demos. Together with Ollie Becker and Heleen Last they are One Straw Revolution. The name One Straw Revolution is an homage to permaculture-guru Masanobu Fukuka, whose philosophy entailed decreasing human intervention in farming and handing over the reins to nature. ‘You can change the world with one straw’, a mindset OSR endorses. This philosophy is the common thread in their music, the songs are authentic stories grown organically and without force.
