Yovie & Nuno
Yovie & Nuno, formerly known as Yovie & the Nuno, is an Indonesian pop band led by pianist Yovie Widianto, who first experienced success as the bandleader of Kahitna during the 1990s. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, on January 21, 1968, Widianto is not only a pianist/keyboardist and bandleader but is also an accomplished songwriter and producer. He founded Kahitna in 1986 and led the band to great success during the '90s and beyond with a string of popular albums. After the turn of the century, he also released a series of solo albums on the side. Without disbanding Kahitna, he founded the band Yovie & the Nuno in 2001. The name was changed to Yovie & Nuno beginning with the album The Special One (2007), which spawned the smash hit "Menjaga Hati." ~ Jason Birchmeier
