A raw, underground indie rock artist.
Secret Monument started when childhood best friends Esmé and Remy decided to form a band for a local battle of the bands with their high school friend Sam. They hadn’t made music together before—but the chemistry was instant. The songs came fast — three originals written in garage sessions after school. One day during practice, a kid rode by on his bike, heard them playing, and posted a video asking, “Does anyone know who this band is? This is my genre, this is me” The clip went viral. Millions of views, zero songs out. That moment fast-tracked everything. With no time to waste, they turned Esmé Holl’s brother’s bedroom into a studio. Her dad engineered their debut EP, Bent Around the Seine, in just three intense, unfiltered weeks. Their sound is raw, emotional, and wired with the electricity of something new but deeply felt. What keeps Secret Monument moving is the connection—with each other, with the people who listen, and with the unfiltered rush of live performance. The EP is just the start. The full album’s already coming.
Secret Monument plays indie rock with raw, emotional vocals and driving instrumentation, as heard on their debut EP Bent Around the Seine.
