Meryem Aboulouafa is a singer-songwriter from Casablanca, Morocco. Having released her acclaimed debut album MERYEM in 2020, she continues to expand her artistic footprint by blending introspective songwriting with sophisticated, contemporary sonic landscapes. She has refined a sound where her voice sits at the very centre, both as a technical instrument and as an expression of her identity as a modern Moroccan woman, musician, believer and poet. Her lead single “Horses / خيول”, released in May 2025, heralds a forthcoming album titled Family, to be released through her own label ZERHOUN. Meryem continues to chart a path that honours her Moroccan roots while embracing contemporary production, language-shifting lyrics (Arabic, English), and a visual-poetic universe that resonates with both intimacy and breadth.
