hey what’s up hello! this is teo tala (pronounced tay-oh tah-la). i’m an indie pop filipino-american singer/songwriter based in the sgv area of socal! my musical journey started with me performing "bet on it" from high school musical for my huge filipino family at every holiday potluck. it’s safe to say that dramatic energy never really left; i’ve just traded the family functions for college open mics and, eventually, a move back home to socal to pursue this dream for real. these days, you can find me playing at local venues around west hollywood and la—there's nothing i love more than seeing these songs come to life with a room full of people, so come say hi at a show sometime!! i would describe my music as trying to make sense of the roller coaster of emotions that come with early adulthood! in other words, my songs are a look at the things that keep me up at night: the aftermath of a heartbreak, situationships that went south, and the "good grief" ;) that comes with letting people go. i hope my songs give you a relatable soundtrack for your own journey. thanks for being here and listening to my stories. it means the world!
