Mark Stewart, who goes by the artist name AETHA, has a style of music that would mostly fall under the progressive house tag with a strong pull towards deep house and melodic techno. “I am to make music that moves people, both physically and emotionally.” He describes the sound he is aiming for as “Etheric Deep/Progressive House - From The Future”. Mark can trace his beginnings in music back to when he was eight years old and his mum, a very good piano player herself, forcing him to learn piano - very much against his will. However, it wasn’t until 2006, the start of what would be four years spent living in London, UK, that Mark developed a real passion for electronic music. Many nights spent out at clubs and especially at the big multi day festivals around Europe laid the foundation for the music he creates today. “I remember very well installing Ableton for the first time and starting to play around. While I had no idea what I was doing, it was magical to me to be able to express my musical creativity and compose a full track with nothing but a computer. I was hooked and my journey began.” It took Mark many years of on again, off again periods of making music in amongst life’s other commitments to start to take music production as a more serious side project, learn all the skills needed to consistently finish quality tracks and have the confidence to share his work with the world.
