Unlike most Antilles artists of the zouk era that have basically copied Zairian soukous, producing a not overly interesting sound I've dubbed "zoukous," Guibert has managed to produce quality zouk combining equal amounts of both African and Antillais. The unique sound captured on his albums has made them collector's items. ~ Gene Scaramuzzo, Rovi
