Buppy. is the brainchild of Utah native Ed Kingston—a project born from a childhood nickname—now a 22-year-old artist documenting human connection in real time, writing songs out of the people, places, and moments he encounters while backpacking the world. Shaped by his roots in a small ski town just outside of Salt Lake City, he developed his sound watching an eclectic mix of artists perform at Kilby Court. After breaking through with Open My Letter, he had another hit soon after with Cold Nights in Hollywood. The release of comfort, texas took him to new heights, earning praise from Zane Lowe, who called him “a superstar in the making.” He’s shared the stage with artists like Tommy Richman, Healy, and Arden Jones, and toured with Schur in 2026. His latest release, wilson demos, is a stripped-back acoustic project about love and coming of age. Intimate and unfiltered, it reflects the direction he’s moving in: music that prioritizes feeling over perfection, and connection above all else.
Buppy. creates genre-blurring pop rap and alternative R&B, known for tracks like 'Cold Nights in Hollywood' that explore coming-of-age themes.
