Cutlass (ex-Pirates of Metal) are a recently relaunched pirate themed metal band, their new name reflecting the harder, sharper edge in their music as they fuse their thrash influences to their classic metal roots. In September 2024 they released their well received debut album Walk The Plank, a culmination of their breakthroughs and extensive gigging across the UK alongside scene leaders like Fury and Tailgunner. Cutlass take the listener on a tour of their influences, from the classic heavy metal of Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, to the thrash of Metallica and Testament, with a dose of melodic madness reminiscent of power metal like Helloween or Running Wild.
