Daan Kluwer
Tracks3
With his expressive sound, lyrical improvisations, and narrative compositions, saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Daan Kluwer (Utrecht, 1998) is one of the promises of the Dutch music scene. Explosive, surrealist, immersive: The Life of Billy draws listeners in a world that feels both futuristic and alarmingly close to home. Inspired by the haunting visions of George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut, the band crafts a sonic world that reflects the dystopian future that lies ahead of us. From dreamy synths to relentless drum ‘n bass grooves, their instrumental music speaks without words— raw and urgent.
